My mom read all three of thease to me the first time. I've read them a couple of times sence then. Its about a girl named Marianne. Who is very shy because he life has not been very comfortable. Her parents were killed in a tragic accident and her brother has been very odd since then. He sends her presents that she dosen't like. And one day a stranger comes into her life and helps her reilize that her brother has been tring to kill her with magic. You would think that this leads to your typical story but somehow it transends the normal realm of fantisy and ends up in the realm of truly weird. There is a laundry-mat where sofas end up in the washing mashines and a library she can't escape were the books move. There is a game where when you roll the dice you are transported into the game and into the heads of the players. Beautifuly writen and very hard to get a hold of it is worth a read.
